Arthur A. "Art" Davis' Obituary
Mr. Arthur A. “Art” Davis, age 77, died December 1, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born on January 22, 1928 in Muskegon to Martin C. & Cora (Burnette) Davis, and had resided in the area all of his life. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during World War II. He had worked over 20 years at Paul Blueberry Farms, and was a member of Lakeside Eagles F.O.E., and the American Legion. On June 2, 1951 he married the former Arlene M. Shanty, and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2000. Mr. Davis was also preceded by 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Diane Wright of Muskegon, Karen (Jeff) Locke and Shari (Cal) Veeneman both of Norton Shores; 7 grandchildren, Stacy and Lindsey Veeneman, Justin and Kellie Locke, Eric Humphrey, Michael and Jacob Wright; 1 great-granddaughter, Kristin Pastoor; 1 sister, Katherine Sether of Muskegon; and very special friend, Marilyn Reilly and her family. SERVICES will be 1 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.231-759-8565 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
