Dear Elaine,
I am sorry to hear about the death of Art a great friend and fellow railfan. Art was the one person that taught me well about the PMRR, C&O, Chessie System, and CSX. and I will never forget that as long as I live. Art will be greatly missed but the great memories will live on for a long time.

Art was a keen observer of the world around him and could keeps its crazy happenings in sound perspective. He had uncommon "common sense" and yet he could dream about all those idealistic achievements possible with the Pere Marquette Historical Society. Dear Elaine and Family,
We are so saddened to hear of Arthur’s passing. He seemed so strong and robust while giving his description of how locomotives operate, at the Ice Cream Socials for the Pere Marquette. There is no one else who knew trains (especially the Pere Marquette) as well as Arthur did! He seemed to take pride in all he did. We will also miss seeing him around town.
