Arthur H. "Art" Nummerdor's Obituary
Mr. Arthur H. “Art” Nummerdor, age 83, went to be with his Lord early Friday morning, April 30, 2004. He was born December 12, 1920 in Muskegon Heights to Weichman and Aartje (Nynhuis) Nummerdor, and had been a life resident of the area. Mr. Nummerdor was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the VFW Post #3734, and D.A.D.S. #49. He worked 32 years for McDonald’s Dairy before retiring in 1978. He then worked for Fitzpatrick Electrical Supply for 5 years. Mr. Nummerdor was an active member of Hope Reformed Church, where he had served as an elder and a deacon. On February 23, 1946, he married the former Mae Rinehart in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 2 children, William “Bill” (Pat) Nummerdor of Lawrence, MI, Lucinda “Cindie” (Joe) Burr of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved very much; 2 brothers, John (Millie) Nummerdor of Florida, Jack (Pat) Nummerdor of Muskegon; 3 step-brothers, Adrian (Rolene) VanDop, Bill (Yvonne) VanDop both of Grand Rapids, Henry (Carol) VanDop of Fremont; step-sister, Cora (George) Hendrick of Whitehall; and a sister-in-law, Donna (Henry) Hendrickson. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Ray Nummerdor; granddaughter, Michelle Nummerdor; parents; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and his step-mother, Tina (Byle) Nummerdor. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at Hope Reformed Church with Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday at
