Arthur J. Sebald's Obituary
Arthur J. Sebald, age 88, passed away February 16, 2006 in Muskegon, MI. He was born March 4, 1917 to the late Edward and Elva Sebald in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. He married Esther Buss of Clark County, Wisconsin on June 10, 1936, and they made their home in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, where he was employed at Bemis Manufacturing Company. He was a member of their 25 Year Club. Arthur was also a veteran of World War II. In 1966 the couple moved to their vacation home on Round Lake in Oconto County, Wisconsin, where Arthur was employed by Patz Manufacturing Company of Pound, Wisconsin until his retirement in 1982. His wife Esther died in 1971, and in 1979 he married Lucile Lahl. They lived at Kelly Lake in Oconto County, Wisconsin. After Lucile’s death in 1997, Arthur moved to Muskegon, Michigan to be near his daughter and family. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Helen (Marvin) Wassink; granddaughter, Deborah (Randy) Wells of Muskegon, Michigan; grandson, Daniel Wassink of Madison, Wisconsin, who will soon leave for service with the Peace Corps in Albania; great-granddaughter, Kristen Wells; great-grandson, Taylor Wells; step-great-grandson, Todd Wells; step-great-great-grandsons, Lucas and Haydon Wells, all of Muskegon, Michigan. He is also survived by one brother, Roy (Lillian) Sebald of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; one sister, Adeline Schmidt of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Sebald of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Rosie Kopp of Curtis, Wisconsin, Betty Buss of Colorado; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his two wives, Arthur was preceded in death by sisters, Malita (Carl) Federwisch of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Viola (Bill) Fricke Whitaker of Lake Wales, Florida; one brother, Harvey Sebald of Port St. Lucie, Florida; brother-in-law, Rheinhold Schmidt of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from his wife Esther’s family. According to his wishes cremation has taken place, and his ashes, along with those of his wife Esther, will be interred in Restlawn Cemetery in Muskegon, Michigan. Arrangements by
