Arvin "Darryl" Fulmer, D.C.'s Obituary
Arvin “Darryl” Fulmer, D.C., age 84, of Spring Lake and formerly of Texas passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born March 18, 1923, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Everett Spurgeon and Lela (Lambert) Fulmer, and he married the former Kathryn Ruth Rudder on January 28, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Dr. A.D. Fulmer graduated from Texas Chiropractic College and was a chiropractor in Port Neches, Texas, for forty years, retiring in 1994. He recently moved to Spring Lake to be near his family. He served as a Naval Air Force officer and fighter pilot instructor during World War II. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and crossword puzzles, and he was devoted to his family and friends. He displayed a deep faith in his Lord Jesus Christ and lived his life with that motivation.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; his daughter, Darlyne (John) Sluka of Spring Lake; three grandchildren: Anna Kathryn, Sara Jane, and Darryl Steven; a sister, Lela Maude Barron of Madisonville, Texas; a sister-in-law, Lucylle Fulmer of Nacogdoches, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and very dear friends Eva Gay Kinard and Carl Dauterive. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
