Audrey L. Norton's Obituary
Audrey L. Norton, age 87, passed away on June 7, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 22, 1930 to Earl and Lula (Syers) Marshall in Muskegon. Prior to retirement in 1970, she worked at Northern Electric in Grand Haven assembling wiring harnesses for 19 years. She was a member of Faith Bible Church. Audrey enjoyed her family, looking after her grandchildren, singing, gardening and yardwork. On June 12, 1950, she married Harry E. Norton and he preceded her in death in 1978. SURVIVORS include her children, Homer (Pam) Norton, Robin (Tom) Oudsema, Kathy (Buzz) Miller and Leota (Clair) Horne; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Marion VanLue, Gladys Bayne; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Marshall. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Debra Vivian in 1956; her brothers, Roy and Homer; and sister, Ruth (John) Survill. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Faith Bible Church (101 Maple Island Rd.) with Pastor Joe Galy officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider Meals on Wheels in Audrey’s name. Burial will take place at Egelston Cemetery.
