Augustin 'Bart' S. Cabrera Jr's Obituary
Augustin ‘Bart’ Cabrera, Jr, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2019. Bart was born on March 9, 1987 to Augustin Cabrera, Sr and Debby Guzman in Muskegon. He could usually be found cheering on the Detroit Lions or out golfing. Bart was known for his signature catchphrase of calling everyone “nephew.” Nothing was more important to Bart than his family, especially his son, Mateo, whom he loved dearly. Bart was loved by everyone around him and will be remembered as an amazing dad, husband, son, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Ramirez. Bart will be missed by his son, Mateo; wife, Jennifer Cabrera; father, Augustin Cabrera, Sr; mother, Debby Guzman; siblings, Alesha Cabrera, Andrea (Kenneth Council, Jr) Cabrera-Council and Mario Cabrera; nieces and nephew, Vela, Cruzito, SeniaBear, Nana and Monch; paternal grandparents, Isabella Santos and Chago (Rosa) Cabrera; special cousin, Emilio Ramirez; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and very much loved by his in-laws, the Thompson family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 1PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St., 49441) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29 from 2-4PM and 6-7PM with the Rosary prayed at 7PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, (231-798-1100).
