I had the privilege of getting to know Autumn in her late teen & young adult years. She was a very loving young lady especially enjoying our community outings, any art based activity and especially working in the kitchen cooking & baking with her adored teacher aide and classmates. She especially loved going to our annual whitecap baseball outing not so much for the game but for the concessions and companionship of her friends! At one point she was very enthralled with the tv show Touched by an Angel. On one especially hectic day (where you always feel 10 steps behind) she stopped me in the hallway to give me in her own words a very Roma Downey message of encouragement. I will never forget her deeply caring nature and sincere encouragement in that moment. God used Autumn to remind me he always sees us and will use everyone of us, if we are willingly, to share his love. It was a precious moment I will never forget.
My heart is sad Autumn is no longer here on earth with us yet thankful she has been freed from dementia and now dances in heaven. I have no doubt she will be part of the first string greeting committee at heavens main gate and I look forward to seeing her again one day.
My deepest sympathies to George & his family as well as all of Autumn's friends, caregivers and extended family, I know she will be missed by many.
