Avesta Leona Hronek's Obituary
Mrs. Avesta Leona Hronek, age 89, died Thursday evening, May 13, 2004. She was born April 17, 1915 in Ludington, MI to Chris and Mina (LeClair) Peterson, and moved to Muskegon in 1936. Mrs. Hronek was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society. In February of 1934, she married George Hronek in Ludington, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1956. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Thomas (Darlene) Hronek of Muskegon, Douglas (Betty) Hronek of Las Vegas, NV; 3 grandsons, Mark (Julie), Todd (Cindy), David; 5 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Rebecca, Madison, Luke, Blake; 1 sister, Elaine Johnson of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sister Madelyn Hronek on May 28, 1981; 2 brothers, Chris and Clarence Peterson; and 2 sisters, Agatha Nelson and Arvella Cartier. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 3:30 PM Monday, May 17, 2004 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday at
