Barbara Blaschke's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Blaschke, age 78, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 in Muskegon. She was born in Geisenfeld, Germany on June 7, 1944 to Carl and Hildegard (Gleader) Duna. Barbara moved to the United States when she was 12 and graduated from Muskegon High School. She was employed by Dresser Crane, Brunswick Corporation, and Seaver Finishing prior to her retirement in 2007. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends at Fruitport Eagles and Don Rea VFW Post #8846. She enjoyed bowling and trips to the casino. On April 3, 1964, Barbara married James William Blaschke and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Barbara is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Blaschke; her son, James D. Blaschke and his wife, Christine; her daughter, Michelle Lokker and her husband, Chet; three grandchildren, Madison, Carter, and Cole Blaschke; her brother, Kenneth McCue and his wife, Amy; and her brother-in-law, David Blaschke. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Fruitport Eagles at a later date.
