Barbara "Barbie" Habel's Obituary
Barbara “Barbie” Habel, age 46, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, February 28, 2014.
She is survived by her parents, Terry & Rosemary Shrum; daughter, Jacqueline “Jaci” Habel; granddaughter, Paizlee Burgess. Barbie had 3 siblings: Mindy Shrum, Tara (Casey) Vinton and Dustin (Heather) Shrum. She also had 6 nieces and nephews.
Barbie had a heart of gold and a very nurturing soul. She had a passion for plants and animals, especially cats. She had a tremendous green thumb and exhibited that with the many plants she rescued over the years. Barbie loved her family and wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by them. She enjoyed the outdoors, and taking walks with her mother at Connor Bayou. She was very proud of her daughter and granddaughter and cherished her time spent with them. She will be remembered at her best and loved forever.
A visitation for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Memorial contributions to the family are appreciated. Please sign the family’s online guest book at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.
