Mrs. Barbara Jean Holman's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Holman, age 81, passed away Monday morning, July 16, 2018, surrounded by her family. Barb was born February 25, 1937 in Muskegon to Napolian and Viola Gauthier. Barb was a 1956 graduate of Muskegon High School. In 1963, she married Ronald Holman and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1990. Barb was a longtime faithful member of The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and flowers. Barb also enjoyed being on the computer and playing Pogo and Bingo. She loved to cook for and plan dinners for family. Barb would even make homemade butter, cottage cheese and ice cream. Most of all, she was a wonderful Christian mother and will be missed by her children, Ronald (Nancy) Holman Jr., Lynne Marie (William) Stauter, Lynda Lee (Steve) Flanagan, Steven Dean Holman, Anne (Jack) Rozema, Michael Allen Holman, and Timothy Lee (Corine Sharp) Holman; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Barb was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Gauthier; and 2 sisters, Gloria Bush and Mary Hines. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2018, at The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, 2270 S. Mill Iron Rd. with Rev. Aaron Gregory officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Otto Cemetery in Garfield Township. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Lakes Community Church.
