Barbara Ann Jackson-Gardner's Obituary
Ms. Barbara Ann Jackson-Gardner, age 67, passed away peacefully in Marietta, Georgia on Sunday, January 31, 2021. She was born in Rosston, Arkansas on June 15, 1953 to Bobby Jo Jackson and Pearline Mitchell-Jackson. She attended Huntington Park High School in CA. Barbara later moved to Muskegon, MI and later graduated from Muskegon Business College earning her bachelor’s degree. She relocated to the Atlanta Metro Area and was a life-long resident of the area for 20 years. Barbara was employed for many years as Administrative Assistant for Atlanta Public Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, playing spades, bidwiz, reading and special talents of arts and crafts. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member at New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church in Marietta, GA under the leadership of Bishop James Martin. Barbara is survived by her loving mother, Pearline Jackson of Magnolia; life partner, Timothy of Marietta, GA; sisters, Marilyn Anderson (Calvert) of Los Angeles, CA; Chantella Rowell of Milwaukee WI; Marie Williams and Shawnta Donahue of Muskegon, MI; Kyra Jones of Lansing, MI; and brother, Christopher Jackson of Atlanta, GA. Also in remembrance are beloved extended brothers and sisters, Sandra Smith of El Paso, TX; Yvette Sparkling of Conroe, TX; Yasmin “Renee” Jones of Inglewood, CA; Edgar “Roni” Paige and Dwight Donahue of Muskegon, MI; uncle, James Mitchell of Muskegon, MI; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and church family. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Jo Jackson and grandparents. A PUBLIC VISITATION for will be held 1 hour prior to service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the church will be enforcing masks will to be required. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Fresh Anointing COGIC,1121 Jefferson St, Muskegon, MI 49440 with Elder Willie Williams Jr., officiating.
