Barbara Ann Johnson's Obituary
Barbara Ann Johnson, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Grand Haven, Michigan following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 9, 1935 to Albert and Stella (Tokarz) Rebone. Barb was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a devoted and selfless mother dedicating her life to raising not only her children but also her grandchildren. She always put her family above anything else with such pride in what she had created. Her dedication, love and commitment to her family will never be forgotten and will always hold a special place in the hearts of those she touched. Barb is survived by her four children, David (Carol) Johnson, Brian (Karen) Johnson, Terri (Greg) Sesselmann, and Lynn Schrink; 12 grandchildren, Hiliary (Kevin) Speck, Alyssa (Josh) Paauwe, Jared Johnson, Stefanie (Jeff) Younts, Jennifer (Ryan) Buckley, Stacey (Bobby) Bruno, Brian (Jenna) Johnson, Amanda (Mike) Schneider, Jessica Sesselmann, Cody Boukamp, Trevor Boukamp, and Hunter Schrink; 12 great-grandchildren, Cole, Landon, Jackson, Ava, Elle, Makinley, Aslynn, Brayden, Ella, Emelia, John Paul, and Luke; and one sister, Theresa (George) Doppel. She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Brecken; one brother, Albert Rebone, Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy Sklenar and Gloria Rebone. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with a PRAYER SERVICE at 7:00 PM. MEMORIALS in memory of Barb may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
