Barbara Jean Kennedy's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Kennedy, age 87, of Spring Lake passed away Monday, September 24, 2018. She was born September 19, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Harry and Jane Tomchek. On October 23, 1954 she married William “Bill” Kennedy. Barb taught preschool in Chicago and Spring Lake for many years prior to her retirement. Barbara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Sweet Adeline’s. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barb is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill; three sons: Barry (Kathleen) Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Scott Kennedy; former daughter-in-law, Margie Kennedy; six grandchildren: Kristen Kennedy, Kelly (Adam) Debrowski, Molly Kennedy, Nick Kennedy, Dana (Matt) Drake, Tara Kennedy; three great-grandchildren: Liam, Nora, Giavanna. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Gross officiating.
