Barbara M. King's Obituary
Barbara M. King, age 76, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. She was born on March 23, 1941, to LeRoy and Bonnie (Carney) Cross in Muskegon. Barbara was a member of the UAW and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from Standard Automotive in 2003 after 34 years of faithful service. She enjoyed reading; especially cookbooks, knitting, crocheting, gardening, but most of all she loved her family. Barbara is survived by her sons, Craig (Lori) King and Brian King; grandchildren, Andrew King, Brandon Little, Jessica (Ryan) Squire, Douglas Barrett; great-grandchild, Helena Rain Barrett; siblings, Sharon (Richard) Bliss, Randy (Julie) Cross; brothers-in-law, Bobby Doan and Roger Courtland. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Allen King; brother, Richard Cross; sisters, Rose Doan and Diane Courtland. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at The Lee Chapel Family Center, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. For a more lasting memory, contribution’s in Barbara’s name can be made to American Diabetes Association.
