Barbara Ann "Barb" Munson's Obituary
Barbara Ann “Barb” Munson, age 74, peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Grand Haven, MI. She was born March 16, 1949, in Muskegon, MI, to Edward and Lena (Vanderkooi) Stott and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967. On July 15, 1967, Barb married the love of her life, Lawrence “Larry” Munson, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2009. After raising their children, Barb worked as an LPN at Knollview Manor Nursing Home and as a Paraprofessional for Muskegon Public Schools.
Barb loved music and singing karaoke. She enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles, coloring, and antiquing. She was incredibly social and enjoyed time spent with friends and family, especially moments together with her grandchildren.
Barb will be dearly missed by her sons, Brian (Tammy) Munson and Joe (Kate) Munson; grandchildren, Tyler Munson, McKenna (Erich) Alden, Curtis Munson, and Victoria Everett; brother, Paul (Gail) Stott; and brother-in-law, Terry Munson. In addition to her husband Larry, Barb was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Tilford and Shirley Hall; and brother, Larry Stott.
In respecting Barb’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to DeVos Children’s Hospital.
