Mrs. Barbara Jane Panik's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jane (Mitchell) (Leatherman) Panik passed away October 10, 2013 at the age of 83 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Barbara was born January 21, 1930 to Dewey and Stella (Engersoll) Mitchell in Cadillac, Michigan. Barbara was employed as an executive secretary at Brunswick for 30 years. She enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and musicals. She is survived by four children, Thomas (Margaret) Zagers, Christopher (Christine) Zagers, Robin (Russell) Jones, and Daniel (Vikki) Leatherman of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren: 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice Scarborough. A private graveside ceremony will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac, Michigan where Barbara will be laid to rest beside her beloved Mother and Father.
