Barbara Rollins' Obituary
Barbara Rollins, age 70, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at home. She was born July 1, 1947 in Muskegon to Lawrence and Delores (Bernatche) Akershoek.
She retired from Grand Haven Public School in 2008 after many wonderful years working at White Pines School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, golfing, playing softball and going to Car Shows with the West Michigan Street Rod Association. She was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles and the VFW Post 2326 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Rich (Stephanie) Deater, and Jeff (Jeanette) Rollins; seven grandchildren: RJ (Lydia), Storme, Hunter, Shalon, Nathan (Emily), Kallea, and Heather; four great-grandchildren: Grace, Rowen, Royal, and Adaline; sister, Patricia Baker; aunt, Audrey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving companion of 28 years, Paul Walsh.
A Memorial visitation will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave). Memorial contributions in memory of Barbara may be given to Women’s Relief Society of the Latter-day Saints (1340 E. 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423).
