Barbara J. Sidock's Obituary
Barbara J. Sidock, age 91, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born May 1, 1933 in Muskegon to Carl and Julia (Soful) Carpenter. On December 17, 1949, she married the love of her life, John T. Sidock, in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2017. Barb was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a wonderful cook and loved to play BINGO, crochet, do puzzles, read books, and do adult coloring books. She was very crafty and loved to order from QVC. Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by many. SURVIVORS include five children: Cheryl (Darrell) Priese of Norton Shores, John Sidock of Norton Shores, Jack (Suzi) Sidock of Paris, MI, Jim (Angela) Sidock of Fruitport, and Jerry (Sue) Sidock of North Muskegon; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Barb was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Debra Sidock; two brothers; and one sister. THE MEMORIAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will be appreciated.
