Barbara M. Snyder's Obituary
Barbara Marlene Snyder passed away peacefully on November 25, 2020, surrounded by loving family. Barb was a life-long resident of Muskegon and North Muskegon and worked for the City of North Muskegon as Deputy Clerk for 40 years. She married Roger D. Snyder in 1965 and enjoyed many years together until his death in 2008. Barb was a good friend to many and those who were lucky to have known her will likely never forget her warmth, generosity, and sweet smile. Barb did not have children of her own, but took on the second Mother role to her many nieces and nephews whom she cherished and loved deeply. Barb was also known for her delicious cooking and baking and shared her treats made with love, with so many. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who crossed her path along the way. Barb is preceded in death by her parents, Harold J. and Frances M. Whiteman; her loving husband, Roger D. Snyder and her dear, protective brothers, Raymond C. Whiteman, Robert E. Whiteman, Harold J. Whiteman, Charles ‘Jim’ A. Whiteman, and Jack W. Whiteman. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Aunt Ruth (Mundt) Baker. Private family services will be held for Barbara. Donations can be made in memoriam to The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
