Mrs. Barbara Elaine Taylor's Obituary
Barbara Elaine Taylor, age 81, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Poppen Residence after suffering from Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Barb was born August 10, 1938 to Louis and Elouise (Duram) Malley in Muskegon. She married Larry Taylor on January 21, 1961 in Bay City, MI. Barb was known to many as a salesperson at Mi-Lady’s Department Store. Barb had also worked at Hers & His Uniforms, as well as 7 Eleven. She was a lifetime lover of cats and was especially kind to all the neighborhood animals; including birds, squirrels and dogs. Barb took great pride in her yard, enjoying gardening, flowers and working in the yard. Together, she and Larry twice won the City of Muskegon Beautification Award. She is survived by Larry, her beloved husband of 58 years; her sons, Larry and Brad Taylor; grandchildren, Cory and Lauren Taylor; a nephew; her loving, devoted friends, Mary Ullmer, Jan Olsen, Peggy Flora; and her cat, Lilly. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, in 2018 and her brother, Louis Malley. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at a later date.
