Barbara Ann VanderStelt's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Ann VanderStelt, age 85, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on October 20, 1935 to Andrew and Irene (Ronning) Bodnar. On November 27, 1954 Barbara married William F. VanderStelt in Muskegon and they were blessed with 67 years of marriage. Barbara was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending local concerts in the park, gardening, cooking, yard sales, and shopping. She also enjoyed Bingo nights at home with her grandkids where she gave out Dollar Store gifts as prizes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, William; two children, Ronald (Carolyn) VanderStelt and Michael (Rebecca) VanderStelt; son-in-law, Randy Suzor; 10 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary (Larry) Lavigne and JoAnn (Ray) Perley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Suzor; parents; sister, Dorothy Gilbert; and brothers, Jerry Bodnar, Don Bodnar, Art Bodnar, and Kenny Bodnar. According to Barbara’s wishes, a PRIVATE family SERVICE will be held. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery.
