Barbara Jean VanRaalte's Obituary
Barbara Jean VanRaalte, age 84, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her daughter’s home. She was born October 23, 1937, in Grand Haven, MI to William and Vivian (Lampman) Bulson. She married Louis VanRaalte in 2009.
Barbara worked at Braaks Bakery at the customer service counter and really enjoyed her job. She loved crocheting, reading, flower gardening, and a Whopper Jr. with a strawberry shake every Tuesday, with her daughters.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Louis VanRaalte; and lovingly remembered by her five daughters: Deborah France, Linda (Richard) Jones, Sue Smith, Brenda Curtiss and Laura Zervas; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce (James) Patterson. She was preceded in death by a son, Gordon P. Curtiss; four brothers: Leonard, Dick, Billy and Wayne Bulson; and granddaughter, Stephanie.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge Street, Spring Lake, MI 49456 with grandson Coty Sloan officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5 -7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at The Spring Lake Chapel.
