Barbara Ann Wichtowski's Obituary
Barbara Ann Wichtowski, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Barbara was born on August 2, 1935 to William and Amelia Soderstrom in Manistee MI. She was blessed with 2 daughters in her life who she loved dearly. She worked in a credit union for several years in Manistee. Later in life she worked for the City of Roosevelt Park. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran. She also was a part of an informal swim club that met at Tiffany Woods during her retirement years. Barb was a huge sports fan. She loved her Green Bay Packers, Tigers, Cubs, and hockey. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, crossword puzzles, and reading, but first in her life was always her children. She was a kind, loving, caring woman who will be deeply missed. Barbara is survived by her 2 children, Kris and Marci Wichtowski. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 2pm at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to The Lakeshore Animal Hospital or The American Lung Association.
