Barbara Jean Wilson's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Wilson, age 82, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Christian Care Living Center. She was born October 7, 1930 in Muskegon to Lavern and Elizabeth Elliott. Barb had a very rich life raising her family and being involved in the community while enjoying many career opportunities including owning and operating her own craft shop, working at Johnson Controls and retiring from Fruitport Community Schools. Family was always at the heart of everything she did, whether it was sitting in the stands at her grandchildren and great-grand children’s sporting events or volunteering in various things with the school or worthy causes. Among her greatest joys was welcoming each new member into her ever growing family and enjoying her monthly lunch dates with the Cloverville girlfriends. She leaves behind with treasures of loving memories: her 5 children, Rhonda (Norm) Spyke of Fruitport, Karen (Duane) Skinner of Spring Lake, Alan (Glenda) Wilson of Muskego, Mellan (Mark) Hansen of Fruitport, Douglas (fiancée, Vickie Watson) of Memphis, TN; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Betty (John) Fialek of Weirsdale, FL. and her best friends Ruth Heimann and Lois Michelli. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Dorothy Kolarik. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev.Fr. William. A. Langlois as celebrant. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to LifeCircles at Tanglewood Park. Arrangements handled by
