Barbara Ann Whipple's Obituary
Barbara Ann Whipple, age 70, of Grand Haven, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, at Sanctuary at the Shore. A devoted mother and best friend, she was born September 28, 1938, in Ferrysburg, to Vernon L. and Orcellia A. (Sherwood) Moss.
Barbara enjoyed going for coffee at the Rendezvous and Idle Hour, visiting with friends, watching sunsets, the drama of her soap operas, reading, and sewing. She will be remembered for her love for people, caring, helping, and having a “Big Heart”.
Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Odessia (Barry) Bennis of Grand Haven; 2 grandchildren, Matt (Tegan) Green of Belvidere, IL, and Frank (Peggy) Green of South Beloit, IL; 1 sister, Cleo (Dave) Aldrich of FL; 2 brothers, Herman Moss (Bob Bolthouse) of Grand Haven and Chuck “Bobby” (Gloria) McManamey of Muskegon; also best friends, Sharon DeMarco of Spring Lake and Cindy Cherry of Grand Haven; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved mother Orcellia Goldberg and her father Vernon L. Moss, grandmother Edna McDonald, a sister Joyce Tracey, and a brother-in-law Buck Tracey.
A memorial service will be held for Barbara at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family, c/o VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, are appreciated.
