Barbara D. (Caughey) Grunwald's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Dorothea Grunwald, age 76, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Grand Haven. She was born on May 21, 1929 in Muskegon to Charles and Winona (Fowler) Mattson, and had lived in California for 29 years before returning to the area several years ago. Mrs. Grunwald graduated from Muskegon Heights High School, enjoyed gardening and quilting throughout the years, and loved anything to do with birds. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Christi (Charles) Broersma of Holland, MI, Kelly (Ted) Morrell of Holton, MI, Lori (Michael Johnston) Caughey of Spring Lake, MI, Tracy (Mike) Damm, and Scott Caughey both of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles “Jack” Mattson of Minot, North Dakota; 2 sisters, “Betty” Austin of Ann Arbor, MI, Marjorie Bristol of Thousand Oaks, CA; and many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Friday at

with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery.
