Barbara J. Sykes' Obituary
Mrs. Barbara J. Sykes, age 70, went to be with her Lord Saturday evening, June 3, 2006. She was born January 27, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Earl and Joyce (Poole) Wyman and had been a Muskegon area resident most of her life. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Teledyne Continental Motors. Mrs. Sykes was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she participated in Bible Study and Adult Sunday School. On July 15, 1967, she married Julian J. Sykes in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1997. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Sykes of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Sykes was also preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Richard L. Edwards. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Julie Winklepleck officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at
