Barbara Jean Barr's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Barr, age 80, passed away early Wednesday morning , August 13, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born January 5, 1928 to Harry and Rhea (Crummel) Zoeller in Saginaw, MI. Barbara married Richard W. Barr in Muskegon on February 25, 1950. She was retired from Child & Family Services as a Registered Nurse and had previously been employed at Hackley Hospital. Barbara served as a volunteer at Christian Care Nursing Home, West Michigan SPCA, The American Red Cross, and Child & Family Services. She loved reading and enjoyed china painting. Barbara was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church for nearly 60 years where she had been involved in their women’s group; the person to person ministry. She was also a Hackley Hospital alumni and a former member of the Michigan Nurses Association. Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard; 2 daughters, Diane Lynn (Thomas) Brace of Centreville, Virginia, and Jenise Marie German of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Lisa Marie German and Matthew Thomas Brace. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Monday, August 18, 2008, at Samuel Lutheran Church, 540 Houston , with Rev. Philip Nordstrand officiating. VISITATION will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at
