Barbara Jean Childers' Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Childers, age 76, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born August 17, 1931 in South Haven, MI to Joseph and Winnie (Bell) Underwood and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On April 7, 1950, she married John Childers, Jr. in South Haven and he preceded her in death in 1991. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Pam (Steve) Spetoskey, Patti (Jim Decker) Check, John (Renee) Childers III; 4 grandchildren, Ben Spetoskey, David Check, Johnny Childers IV, Erik Childers; 1 sister, Judy Johnson; and special friend, Jenny Cartwright. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will take place 4:00 PM Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Polish Roman Catholic Union (1890 Henry St.) where a luncheon will be served. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Harbor Hospice or Mona Shores Athletic Department for baseball, football and track. Arrangements handled by
