Barbara Jean Harp, LPN's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Harp, age 65, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her residence. A life resident of the Muskegon area, she was born Oct. 5, 1944. Mrs. Harp was a graduate of the Muskegon Community College Licensed Practical Nursing Program, and was proud to have worked as a LPN for a number of years in both nursing home and doctor’s office settings. Her SURVIVORS include three children: Lonnie G. “Boo-boo” Harp, Shelly (Marvin) Lorenz and Robert (Novalee) Harp, all of the Muskegon area; ten grandchildren: Bryan Johnson, Dawanna White, Jamie (Amy) Lorenz, Heather Harp, Stephanie Harp, Joshua Lorenz, Kali Harp, Sarah Harp, Jenelle Harp, and Keegan Harp; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Frances (widow of George) Hollingsworth of Muskegon; three sisters: Patricia (Ken) Falbe, Marie (Tom) Guerrero, and Johanne (Richard) Nichols; her former husband Lonnie W. Harp; and by her current four-legged companion, Ebony. She was preceded in death by her father, George Hollingsworth, grandparents Robert and Ruby Smith, and several long-lived, well loved dogs. May you forever bask with Candy Red Sunset. FUNERAL SERVICES for Mrs. Harp will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, (231)-798-1100 with Pastor John Brown officiating and interment in Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION will be at the funeral home 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday.
