Barbara Jean Sander's Obituary
Barbara Jean Sander, age 80, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Harbor Hospice - Poppen Residence following a long illness. She was born in Muskegon on February 17, 1931 to Arthur and Catherine (Dykstra) Smith and was a 1949 graduate of Muskegon Hts. H.S. Barbara married Melvin Sander in 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She then married Victor Keglovitz in 1995 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Sander was formerly employed at Simpson Pharmacy and retired from the Holiday Inn where she was a quality assurance supervisor. Barb had been an active member of the Muskegon Moose and Polish Falcons, and was a former member of the Mona View Cemetery Board. She is survived by her: four children, Lorretta (John) Gilletto of Kissimmee, FL, Arthur Mollema of Muskegon, Scott Sander of Muskegon and Kevin Sander of Muskegon, MI; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Dewy “Billy” Traweek of Sun City, AZ; and sister, Ann Bensh of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Moore. According to Barb’s wishes, there will not be a public funeral service. Visitation for family and friends will be held at: The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 2:00 – 5:00 P.M., Sunday. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery.
