Barbara Jean Schultz's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Schultz, age 52, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009. Barbie was born on July 30, 1956 to Kenneth and Doris (Sweeten) Golden in Shelby. On May 5, 1979 she married Michael G. Schultz and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2003. She was a bartender at the Schultz Haus for over 25 years. Barbie played on a softball team and a pool league. She had ushered at the L.C. Walker Arena and worked security at Muskegon Summer Celebration for many years. She is survived by her children, Michael Cornell Schultz of Muskegon Heights and Michele Renae Schultz of Muskegon; 2 granddaughters, Jasmine Ashaunti and Anjel Rose; her mother, Doris Coon of Muskegon; 5 brothers, Ken Golden, Jr., Henry (Christie) Golden, Tracy (Vicki) Golden, Kim (Monica) Golden and Kris (Rhonda) Golden; 5 sisters, Juanita Gonzalez, Katherine (Robert) Stratil, Charlotte Workman, Alice (Jan) Kamphorst and Rita (John) Perkins; and many nieces and nephews. Barb was also preceded in death by her father, Kenneth, on September 11, 1989. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 13 at New Heart Community Church with Pastor Chris Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
