Basil J. Fox's Obituary
Mr. Basil J. Fox, age 84, died in Muskegon, Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2005. He was born January 18, 1921, in Muskegon, to Charles & Caroline (Kokx) Fox; and had been employed as Manager of Robinson Body Shop for many years before being an Auto Claims Adjuster for Grand Traverse Appraisal & Consultants, prior to his retirement. Basil was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of W.W. II. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, a Lifetime member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles and was a member of the former Muskegon Moose Lodge. He was married to the former Mavis LaMoyne and she preceded him in death on January 11, 1992. He recently married the former Anne Yorks and she survives him along with 2 sons, Terry (Ann) Fox of Los Angeles, CA and Gary (Jacque) Fox of Muskegon; 1 granddaughter, Andrea (Scott) Mackey of Muskegon; 2 great-grandchildren, Erin & Scotty Mackey; and by several loving nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Noel, Fletcher, Ora, Clement & Marshall Fox; and by 2 sisters, Virginia Robinson and Bernadette Fox. The FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 2 PM Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210).
