I have wonderful memories of Bea. They started with walking to her home on Dorroll St. from my home on Diamond Ave, as a little girl. My mom would have tea or coffee with Aunt Jo while I had a piano lesson with Bea, who was 11 years older than I. She was my first piano teacher, and she shared her love of music with me. We enjoyed going to the same church, Quarry Ave. Baptist Church. Her grandpa was our pastor for 50 years, mostly when it was Holland Baptist Church. Many years later, I got to know her sweet daughter Kathy, while I was teaching in Jenison. Thanks to Bea, I still have an appreciation for music, especially that which helps me grow closer to Jesus. Her quiet, gracious manner was inspiring to me. She always had a smile when we would see each other periodically through the years. I know I will see her again, and we will enjoy music together again with the Lord. I know you will all miss her so; my prayers are with you all.
