Beatrice VanderJagt's Obituary
Mrs. Beatrice VanderJagt, age 87, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 4, 2004. She was born August 23, 1916 in Muskegon to Sam and Jennie (Keur) Vanderlaan and lived in Muskegon most of her life, except for 17 years in Jenison. Mrs. VanderJagt was a member of Olivet Reformed Church and a former member of Fairhaven Reformed Church in Jenison. On September 30, 1937, she married Clarence VanderJagt in Muskegon Heights, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1992. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Dr. Donald (Barbara) VanderJagt of Jenison, Carol (George) Schaalma of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Dr. Nancy (Douglas) MacDonald, Susan (John) Fullington, Dr. Rebecca (Eric) Slotegraaf, Douglas (Dr. Dorothy) VanderJagt, Sandra (Donald) North; 6 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Douglas, Michael MacDonald, William, Wesley DeLashmutt, Claire Slotegraaf, and another great-grandchild on the way; brother-in-law, Ike (June) VanderJagt of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Ida Vanderlaan of Muskegon, Annie VanderJagt of Nunica; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, George, William, Edward, and Louis Vanderlaan. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Olivet Reformed Church with Rev. Russell Camp and Rev. Ken Vanderlaan officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at
