Beatrice M. Gabriel's Obituary
Mrs. Beatrice M. Gabriel, age 94, passed away Tuesday evening, March 10, 2009. She was born February 2, 1915 in Baileys Harbor, WI to Wenzel and Anna (Golatka) Horak and had been a resident in Muskegon since 1941. Mrs. Gabriel was a nurse’s aide for Mercy Hospital and later for the St. Michael’s school lunch program. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. On September 30, 1936 she married Anton L. Gabriel in Kewaunee, WI and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2003. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Kathy (Ed) Hall of Twin Lake, Joe (Deb) Gabriel of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Gabriel; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated 1:00 PM Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown and Rev. Fr. Phil Sliwinski concelebrating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 PM Saturday, just prior to the mass. MEMORIALS to the Harbor Hospice – Poppen Residence or the Church will be appreciated.
