Belinda Rose Johnson's Obituary
Belinda Johnson, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. She was born on October 10, 1961 to Charles and Rosella (Dove) Goodrich in Canton, Ohio. Belinda loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, fishing, and online shopping for her loved ones on Wish. Belinda loved helping others when she could and had a heart of gold with a side of sassiness. She always had something smart and funny to say which made us laugh. Belinda was well loved by her friends and family and was surrounded by them once she made her transition. If Belinda could say one more thing… she would say “stop crying, crying is for babies.” Belinda will be missed and has chosen to celebrate her life instead of crying since we know that she is in a better place. Belinda is survived by her children, Rosella (Aris) Dowdell, Mike (Fallon) Goodrich, and DeVontae Johnson; her grandchildren, Chantay (Rob) Lawrence, Saadi Dowdell, Farrah Goodrich, and Russell Goodrich; sisters and brothers, Cindy Welch, Roy Welch, Randy Welch, Franklin Welch; nieces and nephews; a host of great-nieces and nephews; her special friend, Leon Long and 3 fur babies Ziggy, Chica, and Houdini. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosella and Charles Goodrich; siblings, Henry Wiggins, David Wiggins, Joseph Welch, George Goodrich and Pamela Welch. A Celebration of Belinda’s life will 2:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at under the South Portico at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Pastor Gerald Hagans officiating.
