Ben J. Markowski's Obituary
Mr. Ben J. Markowski, age 87, passed away Saturday morning, January 8, 2011. He was born March 31, 1923 in Muskegon to Ben and Lillian (Mangleson) Markowski, Sr. Mr. Markowski worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1985 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. His family will remember him as always thinking of others, rather than himself. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Linda Morton of Las Vegas, NV, Michael (Ann) Markowski, Judy (Bill) Dodge, Gary Markowski, Terry Markowski, David Markowski all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Michael Markowski, Jr., Joni Anderson, Travis Dodge, Leah Dodge, Ashley Markowski, Shilo Swears, Melissa Morton; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Bonnie) Markowski of Muskegon; 5 sisters, Dorothy (Don) Stout of Roosevelt Park, Mary (Robert) English of Muskegon, Vivian (Cliff) Coon, Virginia (David) Winicki, Jeanette (Paul) Yarbrough all of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Thomas and Mike Markowski; and a sister, Alice Markowski. According to his wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp.
