Benjamin Ray Stroud's Obituary
Mr. Benjamin R. Stroud, 90, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, in Muskegon. He was born April 3, 1933, in Grant, MI, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. He had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from American Coil Spring. He also was a U.S. Army veteran. On May 6, 1955, Mr. Stroud married Lorna E. Worthing and she survives him along with two children: David Stroud and Kathy Stroud; one grandson Samuel Stroud; one brother Roger (Mary) Stroud. He was preceded in death by a son Steven Stroud; siblings: Donald Stroud, Albert Stroud, Jane Alderson, and Diana Spencer. The funeral service for Mr. Stroud will be held Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, with burial in Restlawn Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Stroud may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or Calvary Church.
