Benny C. Rowe's Obituary
Mr. Benny C. Rowe, age 72, of Hesperia, formerly of Fruitport passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was born February 13, 1942 in Light, Arkansas to Auhnie and Willebell (Clapp) Rowe and moved to Michigan when he was 12.
Benny worked for the Sappi for 34 years before retirement. He also served his country in the U.S. Marines. Benny loved to hunt and fish, and winter in Florida.
On November 13, 1999 he married the former Judy O’Bradovich in Hesperia and she survives him along with his son, Jeff Rowe of Muskegon; step-daughter, Elizabeth Ploughman of Nunica and one grandson. He is also survived by three sisters: Phyllis McDonald, Peggy (Steve) Ward, Jackie (Warren) Fender; brother, David (Donna) Yates; special loving friends, Terry and Sharon Love and their family; cat, “Boney”. He preceded in death by his dad, Auhnie, who passed away during the WWII; parents, Williebell and Grover Yates.
A memorial service for Benny will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Benny maybe given to the family. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.
