Mr. Bernard W. "Satch" Bauer's Obituary
Mr. Bernard W. “Satch” Bauer, age 83, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on January 25, 1931 and was a life resident of the area. Bernard was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for over 30 years at Brunswick before retiring as tool room supervisor. Bernard was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He was an avid woodworker and loved to read. On June 11, 1955, he married the former Anne Feuerborn in Muskegon and she survives him along with their daughter, Julie (Terry) Thompson of California and two grandchildren, Matthew and Melissa Thompson. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Aldora and Ray Neuman. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated at noon on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Francis Building Fund or Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
