Bernard H. "Bernie" McArdle's Obituary
Bernard H. “Bernie” McArdle, age 87, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at The Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. He was born April 15, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to Patrick and Bridgett (Quinn) McArdle. Bernie worked as a mechanic contractor for various nuclear power plants for over 50 years and retired in 1996. On September 25, 1976, he married Rita A. Graczyk in Muskegon and she survives him. Survivors include his loving wife, Rita A. McArdle. He was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Bridgett McArdle and his siblings, Patrick McArdle, Kevin McArdle, Mary Schwartz, and Theresa Hureta. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2024 in Marian Chapel of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St., Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass in Marian Chapel. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
