Bernard F. Bryant's Obituary
Mr. Bernard F. Bryant, age 93, died Saturday, July 1, 2006 in Ravenna. He was born March 16, 1913 in Muskegon to George and Pearl (Hudson) Bryant, and had resided in the area his entire life. Mr. Bryant had worked at Westran Corporation for 47 years, before retiring in 1975. He enjoyed watching harness horse racing, building model cars, and was a history buff, knowing a lot of Muskegon history. On July 6, 1940 he married the former Gladys Grannell, who preceded him in death on December 15, 1996. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Darla Crews in 2000; 2 brothers, George and Ray; and sister, Violet. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Janet (Brent) Freeland of Ravenna, Rose (Robert) Watts of Battle Creek, Judy (Lawrence) McBarnes of Kalamazoo, Dennis Bryant, and Terry Bryant both of Muskegon, and Thomas Crews of Coopersville; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Bryant of Benton Harbor; 2 sisters, Virginia Thomas of Croswell, MI and Gladys Czinder of Nunica; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Wednesday. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana will be appreciated.
