Bernard R. Winicki's Obituary
Mr. Bernard R. Winicki, age 72, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, March 18, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born July 24, 1933 to Martin and Catherine (Mondala) Winicki in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Mr. Winicki was an All-State football and baseball player when he was in high school at Muskegon Heights, and was an avid golfer. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. For many years he owned and operated his own barber shop. He also worked at Clarke Floor Machine and retired from Meridian. Mr. Winicki was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. On July 16, 1955 he married Carol E. Sekeres. SURVIVORS include his wife Carol of Roosevelt Park; 4 children, Bernie (Linda) Winicki of Muskegon, Brian (Debbie) Winicki of Troy, Bradley (Ruthann) Winicki of Manistee, Beth (Paul) Price of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Winicki, Katie, Bradley “Bubba”, and Seth Winicki, Caroline, Zoie, and Max Price; 8 brothers and sisters, Margie (Larry) Dennis, Edward (Joann) Winicki, Robert (Mary Ann) Winicki, Connie Thomas, Carol (Joseph) Firlit, David (Virginia) Winicki, Kenneth Winincki, Jerry Winicki; in-laws, Morry Chiambretti, Betty Winicki, Marie Papanek, Shirley Milder, Martin (Bernadine) Sekeres, and Sally (Norman) Crouch. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 3 sisters, Virginia Chiambretti, Evelyn Taylor, Dolores Winicki; and 1 brother, Ted Winicki. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Mark Bauer presiding. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.
