Bernice Frieda McNitt's Obituary
Bernice Frieda McNitt age 93 of Coopersville, MI. died Monday, September 26, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice was born on February 8, 1923, in Ravenna Township, MI to the late John M. and Edith S. (Blankshine) Wagner. She married Bernard McNitt on December 19, 1939, in Grand Rapids, MI. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2002.
Bernice is survived by: 1 Son: Gale (Marilyn) McNitt of Ravenna, 4 Daughters: Marjorie J. (Elroy) Schaefer Carolyn Burgtorf both of Conklin. Paulette Porter of Muskegon and Darlene Rayba of Saginaw. 13 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Lois Noyd of Holland.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Bernard, Grandson: Scott McNitt, 5 Brothers: Wallace Robert, Howard, Harold and Morris. 2 Sisters: Marian and Leona. 2 Sons in-law: Don Burgtorf and Jerry Porter.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 10:00am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin with Pastor Mark Oswald officiating. Burial will be at Ravenna Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Friday, September 30, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Also on Saturday at the church 1 hour prior to services.
Memorials may be directed to: Trinity Lutheran Church Mortgage Reduction Fund and Harbor Hospice of Muskegon.
