Bernice Erna Paprocki's Obituary
Bernice Erna Paprocki age 86, of Ravenna, MI died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Brookcrest Nursing Home in Grandville surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice was born on October 11, 1933 in Grand Rapids, MI to Werner and Gertrude (Lourans) Schwartz. She married Wallace Lawrence “Chum†Paprocki on May 9, 1953 in Ravenna, MI. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2015. Bernice enjoyed cooking, baking and playing the piano (which she played beautifully). She also loved spending the winters with Chum in Gulf Shores. She was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years. She looked forward to Thursday morning breakfasts with her friends at the Ravenna Roundtable.
Bernice is survived by her Son: David (Janey) Paprocki of Ravenna, 2 Daughters: Karen (John) Slaby of Grand Rapids and Susan (Ted) Pikaart of Fremont. 2 Grandchildren: Jeffrey and Rachel (Phillip) Cook and Great Granddaughter: Hazel Cook. 1 Sister: Judy (John) Lane of Spring Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Wallace.
Funeral Services for Bernice Erna Paprocki will be conducted on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00am at the First Reformed Church with Pastor Steve VanderWoude officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Also 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
