Mrs. Bernice Ann Stibitz's Obituary
Mrs. Bernice A. Stibitz, 87, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Muskegon. She was born August 11, 1935, to Joseph and Mary (Barron) Skocelas in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Bernice worked for many years at Pachesny Jend Funeral Home. On May 5, 1956, she married Eugene Stibitz, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1997. Survivors include three children: Edward (Robert Gaz) Stibitz, Ronald (Marshelle) Stibitz, Laura (Craig) Klinkner; six grandchildren: Rachel (Joe) Fearnley, Troy (Fiancée Janna) Stibitz, Greg Stibitz, Lexi Stibitz, Taryn (Peter) Kutches, Matthew (Paula) Klinkner; five great-grandchildren: Zig, Bode, Kinley, Parker, and Brynn; two brothers: Edward (Pauline) Skocelas, Fritz (Jan) Skocelas; numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 9, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM in the Victor Miller Room, prior to the mass. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 will be Tuesday, November 8, from 6-8 PM. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Stibitz may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
