You could always tell when Grandma was in a room, because it was always filled with laughter. I'm going to miss her laughter and I'm going to miss her..........##imported-begin##JoAnne Yates##imported-end##
Bernice Reed was a wonderful Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She loved her family and had a great sense of humor. She taught me to bait a hook and the art of catching, cleaning and cooking fish. As a kid, she always took us fishing in her rowboat up at the cottage. Her favorite place on earth was a cottage built by Grandpa, mom, Jean and herself on Ford Lake, Michigan. I have very fond memories of the times spent at the cabin with Grandpa and Grandma. Grandma loved Grandpa and missed him terribly after his death. The saving grace in her passing is that she is with him now. She shared with me a dream she had the last time we visited. She said that she saw a bright light and then there was Grandpa standing there. She was so happy to be with him, then she woke up. She said to me that the dream was wonderful and she thought she had gone to heaven. When she woke up she was disappointed it was only a dream and said to me "I wondered how we would have gotten around up there, since we didn't have a car." Her humor will be missed but her memories will always live on with me.
Love always,
Grandaughter,
